There are a couple of things the student can try.
Students will probably have to enable Camera / Microphone for the site.
Go to the website.
In the browser address bar to the left of the address will be a padlock icon click on this icon
Click on Site Settings.
Find the Camera setting and click on the box to the right
Click on allow
Find the Microphone setting and click the box to the right
Click allow
Go back to the website and there will be an option to reload the page.
Then rejoin the meeting from the link you sent them
If that still does not work inside the zoom meeting window
Click the cog wheel Icon
Click the audio tab
Make sure Automatically join audio by computer when joining a meeting is selected
Make sure Always mute microphone when joining a meeting is not selected then click the X to go back to the meeting.
If this still does not allow the student to have web camera or audio
Have the student launch there camera app and record a video of them saying test. Then play back that video. If they do not have video when the launch their camera app then they will need to email Tech@grantbulldogs.org to setup a time to come in for a replacement Chromebook. If they have video but no audio, they will need to setup a time to come swap for a replacement Chromebook.
